Give your colour some love!

Give your colour some love!

So, you’ve decided to switch things up with a fresh colour? We love that for you!

But real talk—coloured hair isn’t just a look, it’s a lifestyle. And with great colour comes great responsibility. We’re not just playing with pretty shades here; we’re serious about keeping your hair healthy, strong, and absolutely stunning through the journey.

GOING BLONDE? LET’S TALK HIGHLIGHTS

Thinking of making the bold move from dark to blonde? Buckle up, beauty—this is a process.

Going blonde, especially from black or dark brown, takes time. We’re talking multiple sessions of lightening, treating, lightening again… and yes, more treating. It’s a delicate, visual journey—no two heads are the same. We can guide and guesstimate, but we won’t know exactly what shade we’ll get at each session, especially if you’ve got layers of box dye underneath. What to expect? Maybe some brassy tones. Awkward in-between shades. Maybe even a moment of “What is this colour?!” Totally normal. Totally necessary. We will do our best to counteract those brassy tones with the right toner until we reach your target shade.  But just like growing your hair means powering through the “helmet phase,” going blonde means embracing the “brassy phase.”

Pro tip: Be patient. Trust the process. And whatever you do—DO NOT BLEACH YOUR HAIR AT HOME. EVER.

GLOBAL COLOUR — THE DARK SIDE DONE RIGHT

Switching to a darker, richer tone? Yes, queen. But heads up—getting new pigment to stick can take 1 to 3 sessions, especially if your hair’s been through the ringer.

If you are going more than two shades darker, it will be necessary to “fill” first to avoid those khaki shades!! Nobody wants that!! To make the colour last longer and look salon-fresh between visits, a little home care goes a long way (and we’ll show you how).

HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR COLOUR LIKE A PRO

1. “Why is my hairdresser always recommending products?” Because we actually care. A lot. Your coloured hair is like a new relationship—it needs nourishment, attention, and the good stuff. We only recommend salon-quality products that are scientifically formulated to repair, hydrate, and protect your hair. They’re not just ‘nice to have’—they’re your secret weapon against breakage, brassiness, and dull vibes.

2. Stop washing your hair every day. Seriously. Especially if you’re blonde or freshly coloured. Natural oils are magic. Dry shampoo will be your best friend.

3. Some breakage may happen. It’s normal. Don’t panic. We’ll guide you through it.

4. Cheap shampoo? Just don’t. Supermarket brands might save you a few bucks now, but they’ll cost you your shine and strength in the long run. Invest in quality—your hair (and selfies) will thank you.

5. Get regular trims. Yes, more than once a year. Trimming your ends prevents split ends from traveling up the hair shaft and gives your hair the actual chance to grow longer and look healthier.

6. Celebrate every stage. Whether you’re in the icy-blonde final form or mid-way in a warm caramel transition—rock it. Confidence is the best colour you can wear.

Final Word? Colouring your hair is a beautiful transformation—and you’re not in it alone.

We’re here for every foil, tone, and gloss along the way. Love your hair. Nurture it. Show it off.
